Scope & Accepted Topics
The journal welcomes submissions in a wide variety of fields including veterinary histology, anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, pharmacology, microbiology, virology, pathology, public health, parasitology, infectious diseases, surgery, internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, reproduction and artificial insemination, as well as animal breeding, genetics, nutrition, biotechnology, physiology, animal behavior, and animal products. Manuscripts on farm animals, poultry, equines, aquatic species, bees, and companion animals (e.g. dogs, cats, birds) are especially encouraged.
Article Types & Submission Guidelines
The journal accepts original research articles, review articles, short communications, case reports, and letters to the editor. Research articles should not exceed 30 pages, with an abstract of up to 300 words, a maximum of 60 references, and up to 10 figures/tables combined. Review articles may be up to 50 pages, with up to 120 references, and no more than 12 figures/tables. Short communications should not exceed 15 pages and 30 references. Case reports are limited to 8 pages with a 200-word abstract, and letters to the editor must be under 500 words, with a maximum of one table or figure and up to 15 references.
Format & Ethics
All manuscripts must be prepared using the journal’s template and submitted in standard MS Word format. Authors must provide their ORCID iD. Manuscripts should be double-spaced, in Times New Roman 12 pt, have 3-cm margins on all sides, include line numbering, and be written in clear, concise English (either British or American spelling, but consistent). Tables, figures, symbols, units and references must conform to the journal’s style guide. Studies involving animals require a clear ethics statement, including institutional animal-care approval when relevant.
